Ruthai's Thai Kitchen on Urbanspoon
Ruthai's Thai Kitchen. Nice little Thai restaurant in Mt. Lookout. Had dinner there with my friends Sam and Tira. I never had Thai before, so I can't judge it on authenticity, but I can tell ya that we thought our food was yummy. We had chicken rice crepes and Japanese edamame for appetizers. On the surface, edamame looks lame, soybean pods with sea salt on them, but they're surprisingly addictive. Sam had sushi. Tira had a salad. And I had a panang curry duck that was a four out of five on the hot scale. The only thing I didn't like was my mango smoothie. The gooey pulp seeds grossed me out. But that's not their fault. Actually a testament to the high quality of their ingredients. Most places don't give you real fruit smoothies, just flavored slosh. All in all, it was a good experience. Good service. Nice ambiance. Had a lot of hot hippie and preppy college guys. I spent half the time shamelessly staring at a cute shirtless guy sitting out front with his friends. Food was not only good, but quite affordable. Hope to go back soon to check out their lunch buffet.

  1. Looks like Thailand is about to erupt into a civil war.
